Sitka black-tailed deer are one of the least-researched large mammals in all of North America
This is in part because they live in remote, hard-to-reach areas, and in part because it is really tough to do research in the wet, rugged rainforest that the deer call home.
But continuing change to habitat and the environment is threatening these deer, and the human communities they depend on.
With your help, we will ask important research questions to understand key threats to deer, and get the results into the hands of wildlife and habitat managers and the public to ensure a bright future for these deer and local human communities.
